Countdown to Cookie Season: Curb those cravings with the 21DSD!

One of the best parts about being a Certified Health Coach is seeing the physical and mental transformation when your clients take small steps to reduce the amount of sugar in their diet.

Why? Sugar fuels inflammation and inflammation may cause conditions like obesity, type 2 diabetes, arthritis, psoriasis, eczema, Hashimoto’s disease, migraines, ADD/ADHD, digestive issues, poor sleep, Alzheimer’s and more. According to a report from the Institute of Medicine (IOM), more than 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain at a cost of around $600 billion a year in medical treatments and lost productivity.

Rather than giving in and being one of these statistics, you too can be like the clients I have worked with who once suffered from debilitating arthritis by just making small changes to the way you eat. A 21-Day-Sugar Detox can be the perfect jump-start and comprehensive plan to help you get there!

It’s easy to assume we aren’t consuming sugary foods by avoiding the obvious offenders like candy, soda, cake, but through the education of the 21DSD program, you learn how many “sneaky” sugars (or foods that your body simply recognizes as sugar) can wreak havoc on your overall health and well-being. In a world where we are bombarded with messages to shun carbs and fat, if we are going to reduce anything in our diet, SUGAR should be at the top of that list.
