- Reduced allergies
- Improved digestion

Any non-scale victories? I feel great! Physically, emotionally and mental clarity wise. I am also free of my insatiable cravings for junk food, which was my ultimate goal.
In my own words
I was tired of achy joints, lousy sleep, and allergy symptoms. I've long been aware of the terrible effects sugar has on the body. It was time to treat my body with the respect it deserved.
I finished my 21 days August 21, 2018 and I've got to say I'm proud of myself. It was one of the most difficult endeavors I've ever tackled (yes, I've given birth)!
The first week was incredibly difficult for me. I was irritable and wanted to rant and rave, swear and smash things. Seriously, it was that bad! What got me through was my determination that junk food would NOT win. I wouldn't allow an insidious, minuscule bite of food to change my brain chemistry and keep me addicted. I would NOT let it win (I guess I substituted “junk food” for someone in my life that pushes my buttons….I would not let them succeed!).
Anyway, here I am a month and a half post detox and I feel so healthy and happy, and yes PROUD. I am sleeping fantastic, feel more clear headed and wake up pain free (my joints felt stiff and ached before detox). I also had developed a horrible post nasal drip that acted up whenever I ate food, any food. It was embarrassing, and I stopped eating in public due to the constant throat clearing that would ensue for hours after eating. Guess what? No more post nasal drip, and I mean NONE! I feel better than I have since probably adolescence, and I'm 55.
This was the best thing I've ever done, and I'm grateful to Diane Sanfilippo for writing her book. I am now, for the first time in my life, committed to leading a healthy lifestyle. I wish everyone success on their journey!
