In my own words
Prior to the 21DSD I was eating gluten and dairy free, but I was using a lot of substitutes. Normal amounts of fruit/sugars, etc. Nothing crazy.
I expected to have reduced sugar cravings after the detox and this was a success. I was also able to eat out a couple of times and still enjoy myself.
I will say that I feel I had a pretty decent first experience. I didn’t experience any skin rashes, carb flu, headaches, etc. Actually, probably the most eye-opening thing that happened was that I did not experience one headache or migraine while on the detox! That hasn’t happened to me in over 7+ years! No meds were taken, nothing!! Just incredible!
All of the foods that I prepared from the book left me feeling fuller longer. I had more energy in my workouts and really seemed to benefit overall. I had minimal cravings, and my mind was stronger!
I knew I would only be disappointed in myself if I slipped up or dropped out. I was determined to make it through this to share my experience and really have the whole effect!
I feel accomplished and in control of my eating, and I feel great knowing I was able to solve a big mystery. Now to determine what the exact trigger is for my headaches. I feel better in my clothes and when I look at myself in the mirror. I feel less bloated overall. Mentally I feel stronger just prepping meals and pulling things out of the fridge to put together.
