In my own words
Before the program I thought I was eating okay with the weekend splurges of course. I was relying too much on sugar to get me through the day. I was eating too many grains (tortillas and popcorn) and not enough protein and healthy fats.
I was nervous going into the detox because I've never ever given up sugar and thought I'd be starving, but that was not the case. I had so much fun coming up with meals or using recipes. I loved the daily emails and the Instagram posts.
The 2 main things I noticed were that my mental alertness was higher and I was able to read when my body was winding down for the day and needed to sleep. I also slept deeper.
I lost 9.5 lbs and 4.5 inches and I'm considering the Paleo lifestyle. Unlike other times I've fasted or abstained from food, I didn't go splurge on sweets. I just added fruit and have kept eating the same as on the 21DSD.
